Speaker: Pam Binder

Location: Mercer Island Library

Workshop Details We’ve grown up hearing about Christopher Vogler’s book, The Writer’s Journey, based on the research by Joseph Campbell. And from the Ordinary World, Crossing The First Threshold, to the Return With The Elixir, Vogler’s structure is said to be the Holy Grail for writers. A student in one of Pam’s classes made an interesting observation. This Mythic Structure has a male point of view. Perhaps that is why at times it seems difficult to grasp. Join Pam Binder while she plots a novel using a parallel structure, based on a woman’s point of view.
